Ted Cruz Just Received Some Terrible News About His Chances for Reelection
Ted Cruz may have a lot more time to visit Cancun after next year’s election because the Texas Democratic Party is just plain fed up with his continual nonsense and habit of doing zip, nada, zilch for people in Texas. Cruz couldn’t seem to be bothered with helping the millions of Texans who were freezing to death in the middle of a devastating cold front that sent him packing to Cancun in 2021.
And he uses his position as senator to podcast and fire off dumb tweets, and even accuse the Barbie movie of pushing Chinese propaganda, notes Queerty.
So now, Texas Democrats are jumping at the chance to oust Cruz next year. Thursday, the Texas Democratic Party announced it is launching a “Beat Cruz War Room,” where they intend to consolidate opposition research and mass mobilization against the senator.
And let me tell you, they aren’t fooling around.
“No matter who our nominee ends up being, with the help of the Beat Cruz War Room, we’re going to send Ted Cruz—back to his preferred Cancun resort, his plush podcast studio, campaigning for other far-right extremists in random states, or wherever the hell else he currently does from 9 to 5 when he’s supposed to be working for us,” said Gilbert Hinojosa, chair of the Texas Democratic Party.

It definitely looks like Cruz is in for a tough ride. He’ll be seeking a third term in 2024, but he’s facing the toughest opposition he’s ever had to deal with, in the form of a young U.S. representative who could serve as a model for GQ. Colin Allred is a fourth-generation Texan and former linebacker who played college football at Baylor and spent four seasons in the NFL.
And he’s definitely collected an impressive record of bipartisan achievements during his time in Congress.
Since being elected to Congress, he’s raked up a strong record of bipartisan achievements.
“I’m running for U.S. Senate because Texans deserve a Senator whose team is Texas. Ted Cruz only cares about himself.

Indeed, Allred has accomplished quite a lot. According to Council for A Livable World, he’s been busy:
“A former collegiate and pro-football player, he worked as a special assistant in the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of General Counsel during the Obama administration and as a civil rights attorney and counsel to national and state political candidates and advocacy organizations.”
“He currently serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, House Veterans Affairs Committee, and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.”
And this is probably why Allred has already raised $6.2 million in the two months since he launched his campaign. Queerty compared this against Beto O’Rourke who had to campaign for nine months to reach this kind of cash.
But Allred isn’t the only Democrat Cruz needs to worry about. There’s also Texas state Senator Roland Gutierrez, who represents Uvalde.
“What happened in Uvalde wasn’t just about guns. It was about neglect—the neglect of rural Texas, the neglect of the systems in this state that are supposed to keep us safe,” Gutierrez said in his campaign announcement.
Ted Cruz has spent this week recording a podcast and complaining that the new Barbie movie is "Chinese propaganda."
Texas, we deserve better than this. We deserve a leader who will protect our communities.
Let's send Ted into an early retirement.

Texas is beset by a deluge of crises, including a severe heat wave that’s devastating all of the southwest but this is apparently of little concern to Cruz. He’s obsessed by Barbie instead.
“It is shameful to see Hollywood acting as a mouthpiece for the Chinese communists,” Cruz fumed on his podcast last week.”
Oh, and he’s also called for a government investigation into Bud Light because it partnered with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.
Since Ted Cruz is more focused on attacking Barbie than doing his job, we’re launching a new collection of Barbies inspired by his (lack of) work!

Texas has usually been a rough go for Democrats. The party hasn’t won a statewide race since 1994—Cruz is in a sticky predicament, all of which is his own doing. He’s one of the 10 most unpopular senators in the U.S. and has garnered a 46 percent disapproval rating among Texas voters.
So it looks like the “Beat Cruz War Room” has plenty of material to work from. And that’s good news for Texas voters and hopefully bad news for Cruz.
Twitter users also have a few things to say.
I had not the slightest desire to see Barbie until Ted Cruz revealed that she's a Communist. Now I'm inviting my entire block…I mean bloc.https://t.co/cwBL2zYoN5

I went on vacation for a week and all Ted Cruz did was record four podcast episodes and wage a twitter war on @Barbie.

Starting to think there might be some people who just don't like Ted Cruz.

Colin Allred defeating Ted Cruz would be epic.

Collin Allred is the real deal and he stands a good chance of freeing Texas from Cruz.
