Former President Donald Trump is reacting fiercely to the new bombshell charges against him with an unsigned statement from his campaign and doing the usual stuff he does — name-calling Special Counsel Jack Smith and President Joe Biden. And of course, adding a claim that numerous fact-checkers have found to be baseless time and again, Mediaite reports.

News broke Thursday afternoon that Smith has filed three additional charges against Trump. Thursday evening Trump’s presidential campaign emailed an incendiary statement to the media that featured Trump’s favorite insults and the claim that the prosecutions against him are politically motivated and being directed by Biden.

This is nothing more than a continued desperate and flailing attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their Department of Justice to harass President Trump and those around him.

“Deranged Jack Smith knows that they have no case and is casting about for any way to salvage their illegal witch hunt and to get someone other than Donald Trump to run against Crooked Joe Biden.”

It’s not exactly Shakespeare, but it gets the message across. Trump is p*ssed.

But Trump can yammer all he likes. Scores of outlets have fact-checked the claim Trump made and say it is without merit, and CNN’s Jake Tapper noted, right after Trump repeated it during his post-arraignment Bedminster speech, that “There’s no evidence that Donald — that Joe Biden had anything to do with this, charges brought by the special counsel. The charges are not fake. The charges are not fabricated.”

Trump also hit Truth Social, and screamed out, “Whatever happened to the Crooked Joe Biden Document’s case? He had 20 times more Boxes than I did, and he wasn’t covered by the Presidential Records Act. I was! When it first came out that Biden had all of these Docs, many Classified, almost everyone, including those on the Left, said, “there goes the case against Trump.” But they waited and waited, got failed prosecutor Deranged Jack Smith, and STRUCK – but did almost nothing on the REALLY BAD Biden Documents case, many stored in Chinatown!”

And now, the new filing:

1. Charges Trump with one additional count of unlawful retention of National Defense Information.

2. Adds a defendant, Carlos De Oliveira, to the obstruction conspiracy theory that was charged in County 32 of the original indictment.

3. Charges defendants Trump, De Oliveira, and Waltine Nauta with two new obstruction counts: Counts 40 and 41. These additions are based on allegations that the defendants attempted to delete surveillance video footage at the Mar-a-Lago Club in the summer of 2022.

4. Adds a new Count 42 charging De Oliveira with false statements and representations in a voluntary interview with the FBI on January 13, 2023.

Trump can make all the baseless claims he likes but they appear foolish in lieu of all the work Smith and his team have put into this. We all know endless hours have gone into this and like Tapper says, Smith’s findings aren’t fake or fabricated.

And just look at this little snippet and tell me that Trump doesn’t act like a mob boss. Also, this is BAD and he knows it.

It might take a while, but there’s a good chance Melania Trump will have Mar-a-Lago all to herself. Possibly for a very long while.
