Stephen King Calls Out Don Jr. on Social Media and It’s the Most Perfect Thing You’ve Ever Seen

Stephen King is undoubtedly one of America’s most beloved and best novelists, but he’s also got a mean right hook. On Twitter, anyway. The Salem’s Lot author is fond of dad jokes, but he knows how to deliver a killer punch when necessary. To folks like Ted Cruz, for instance:

Ow.

He definitely doesn’t shy away from political smackdowns and sometimes they manage to be brilliantly bewildering and devastating at the same time.

His latest Twitter salvo may be in response to Don Jr.’s remarks about the cocaine found in the White House during the July 4th weekend, Uproxx. Or perhaps King was referring to Don Jr.’s habit of rabbity high-energy levels or teary-eyed twitchy media appearance. I’m just guessing here.

I don’t know what inspired him to do this but King tweeted a meme of a scraggly, punk-looking “dog” (a brown hyena, actually) that looks like it’s seen a few things. As Uproxx notes, it’s a little similar to Wile E. Coyote, and the meme’s caption refers to a “drug-sniffing dog” possibly visiting the house of a son of an ex-president.

Perhaps King is fed up with the obvious double standard going on here. I have no idea who dropped the coke in the White House. We’ve heard more than we ever need to about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop, his flings with prostitutes, those photos that seem to fascinate Marjorie Taylor Greene so much, and his drug use. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of instances where Junior seemed rather “off.”

We all remember that last photo and Don Jr.’s weird hand gymnastics. I’m guessing King does too and he knows hypocrisy when he sees it. His sweaty, breathy videos where we’re not always even certain wtf he’s on about. And if dear old Dad gets reelected (ugh), we can look forward to more of his incoherent antics that line right up there with his father’s.
