Trump Raging Like a Wild Animal on Truth Social After Fox News Hosts Say He’ll Lose to Biden

An enraged Donald Trump blasted Fox News’ Brit Hume and Bret Baier over their pre-debate commentary Wednesday night.

The two were discussing President Joe Biden’s political prospects, and Hume argued that Biden being renominated “is dependent on one thing: the expectation that Trump will be the Republican nominee,” Mediaite reports.

“So, obviously the former president’s not here tonight, a lot of people trying to have a breakout moment on this stage,” Baier said. “If one does, what do the Democrats and the Biden campaign do?”

Hume’s response?

“I don’t think there is any doubt that if we get a candidate, get a clear breakout moment either here or sometime in the near future, and it appears on its way to overtaking Donald Trump for the nomination or even coming close enough, the Democrats will be frantically looking for somebody else to nominate because I think that they think that Joe Biden can beat Donald Trump because he did before. I’m not sure they believe that he could beat almost anybody else.”

It would be nice if Democrats could find someone who would push Biden further to the left, but I’m sure that’s a pipe dream. I’m not sure what’s really going on here but the Democrats really don’t seem to be getting into this election even though the field is already crowded with Republicans.

Whatever the case, Trump was thoroughly steamed over Hume and Baier’s conversation and he let loose on Truth Social.

“I AM LEADING BIDEN IN ALMOST ALL POLLS! LEADING REPUBLICANS BY 50 POINTS,” he shouted. “FOX NEWS REFUSES TO POST OR DISCUSS. BRIT HUME, WORKING WITH RINO BRET BAIER, IS DELUSIONAL!!!”

Then Trump let loose again, saying, “NO, I’M THE ONE THAT THE DEMOCRATS DON’T WANT TO RUN AGAINST. They said the same thing in 2016. How did that work out? We did MUCH better in the Rigged Election of 2020. The RINOS and DEMS are all about DISINFORMATION! @brithume @bretbaier”

Trump is skipping Wednesday night’s debate — which Fox News is hosting, with Baier moderating. The former president has lodged numerous complaints about the right-wing network over the past several months.

He was less than happy after being interviewed by Baier earlier this summer, complaining that “it was nasty.”

“When I did the interview with Bret, I thought it was fine. I thought it was okay, but there was nothing friendly about it. You know, it was nasty,” Trump complained. “It was really like, unfriendly. Everything was like, unfriendly. No smiling, no let’s have fun, let’s Make America Great Again. Everything was like a hit. So you have a hostile network.”

I’ll admit I tend to avoid watching Fox News whenever possible. If I want inaccurate information I’ll hop on Twitter X. I can find plenty of there.

But who knows, maybe during this interview Baier was doing his job. Trump thinks the news media should mollycoddle him. After all, that’s largely been the case. Now the former president is facing the harder truths of his future and I’ll hazard a guess that another reason he’s missing debate is because he’s expected to be somewhere else on Thursday.

I certainly hope he won’t skip that.
