Mary Trump Gives a Very Ominous Warning to Don Jr. and Eric Trump
It’s delightful whenever anyone tells a member of the Trump family to shut up and what’s even more fun is that Donald Trump’s niece Mary Trump seems to be telling his two eldest sons to do just that: keep their traps shut.
She is referring to their non-stop talking about the apparent value of Mar-a-Lago now that a judge has ruled that dear old Dad inflated the golf club’s worth in financial statements.
The author and podcast host may be her uncle’s toughest critic, and she took a swipe at Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. after Judge Arthur Engoron, who presided over New York Attorney General Letitia James’ $250 million fraud lawsuit against all three men and the Trump Organization ruled that the ex-president misled banks and insurers by exaggerating the value of his properties in his annual statements of financial conditions over several years in order to benefit financially, Newsweek reports.
As you might expect, Trump and his two sons are not happy with the judge’s decision, and the former president described it as part of a “widespread, radical attack” against him and adding that he intends to appeal the decision.

In a lengthy Twitter X post, Mary Trump accused Eric and Don Jr. of lying about Mar-a-Lago’s value in the wake of Engoron’s ruling.
“Of course, we didn’t expect the adult sons to sit back and accept the results of the court’s fairly determined decision. We know from long experience that when they lose on the merits, they immediately attack the institution itself. (Wonder where they hot that from?)” Mary wrote.
“But Judge Arthur Engoron didn’t just make up Mar-a-Lego’s valuation. He cited the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor’s number, which is between $18 million and $[27] million. Donald had no problem with that valuation when it was used to determine his taxes!”
As part of his ruling, Engoron noted that between 2011 to 2021, Trump valued the resort at $347 million to $739 million based on the premise that it was unrestricted property, and thus could be developed for residential use. But during this same period, Mar-a-Lago was assessed by Palm Beach County as having a market value ranging between $18 million and $27.6 million, based on its restricted use as a social club.
Mary Trump and Judge Engoron both noted the ex-president’s assessment of Mar-a-Lago’s value is roughly 2,300 percent higher than the tax assessor’s appraisal.
“Here’s the question: Are Donald Eric willing to pay 2,300% in taxes? If not, I suggest they keep their mouths…Letitia James is listening,” Mary added.
Eric Trump released a series of posts on X, dismissing Engoron’s ruling and claiming that Mar-a-Lago is actually valued at around $1 billion, make it the “most valuable residential property” in the nation.
Junior also posted equally clueless remarks on X, saying that if his father had said Mar-a-Lago was worth $18 million then the former president would be “charged with trying to underpay” his real estate taxes.
If my father tried claiming the property was worth $18 million, he would probably then get charged with trying to underpay his real estate taxes!
They’ve set the game up so it’s always lose/lose in these blue states. If you don’t abide by their narrative they will target you. https://t.co/IZDefUGpHH

“If Mar-a-Lago is worth $18 million… I’ll take 10 please!!!” he posted subsequently.
At his deposition in April in connection with James’ investigation, the former president said that he was able to call on people who could value his Mar-a-Lago property at as much as $1.5 billion. He was subsequently asked where he got this number from, and answered the assessment was “just broker talk.”
“We will have people come in, you know, experts at this, to show a price of 1.5, I believe the price will be; $1.5 billion,” Trump responded.
As a result of Tuesday’s ruling from Engoron, the October 2 civil trial to resolve James’ suit will not need to determine if Trump had provided “false and misleading” statements that inflated the value of his properties and assets by billions of dollars. This was the biggest claim the New York Attorney General’s office had put forward. At this point the trial will mainly decide on the penalty.
I’m sure Mary Trump will be watching and waiting to keep all of us posted, and some of us, myself included, await this eagerly.
