Trump Suffers Another Major Cognitive Episode and It’s Happening Way Too Often
I’ll bet Donald Trump couldn’t tell you a single line from Shakespeare’s classic Hamlet to save his life. So it’s possible that he knows neither the origin nor the meaning of the phrase “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”
It’s like it was tailor-made for him, though. The more he talks about any given thing, the less sincere he seems, and the more he complains about an undesirable trait in someone else, the more it is evident in him.
For example, that “very large brain” of his. Man, he’s said that so many times, you have to wonder if the organ in question even actually exists. He’s gone on and on about his level of genius. He’s waxed rhapsodic about the superiority of his genes. He has claimed, at various times, to be the only person in the world capable of doing a particular thing.
Over here in the real world, what that looks like is Donald Trump ranting into a microphone in an important primary state, praising a dictator and mistaking Barack Obama for the current President of the United States.

Vanity one, stable genius zero.
In fact, the more Trump talks about “acing” the cognitive test given to old people to make sure they’re not in the early stages of dementia, the more he looks worried about seeming demented AND old.
Here’s Trump talking in New Hampshire at length about Viktor Orban, the Prime Minister of Hungary, and veering off into how Orban thinks HE should be president instead of Obama, because he made the world feel safe.

This is, of course, yet another stab at “Somebody else said this amazing thing about me, not me. I didn’t say this, another guy did.”
Face it, folks: You’ve met that guy at a party somewhere. The guy who boasts about what other people say about him. It’s not like Trump doesn’t say enough nice things about himself, but he has to claim that everyone else thinks it as well.
And this isn’t the only time he’s done this…here he is at another rally saying Obama is president:

Guess what, Mr. Ex-President — nobody else thinks Obama is still in charge.
