‘Wear a Mask if You Can’: Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger Wants to Talk About Trump’s ‘Odor’

Yes, former Rep. Adam Kinzinger is a Republican, but I kind of see him as a decent one. Not only is he anti-Trump, but he seems to genuinely care about people. Kinzinger served from 2011 until January of this year, the end of his 6th term. He is also well known for his opposition to parts of his own party in the later years of his political career — especially in the wake of the Jan. 6 attacks on the Capitol.

Kinzinger and former Wyoming Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney were the only two Republicans to serve on the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack. And of course, he was also one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach fat former President Donald Trump in 2021, and later announced that he would not seek reelection.

He’s recently written a book, and has been very critical of his party, with Trump his number one target. Most of the attacks are because Trump is a dangerous fascist. But his newest attack is for something we have heard about before…the way Trump smells. Kinzinger recently tweeted, “I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor. It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”

Sadly, Kinzinger leaves us hanging…hopefully he will fill us in soon. But of course, this isn’t the first time someone close to Trump has mentioned his distinctive odor.

Comedian Kathy Griffin has discussed Trump’s odor a few times in the past, most recently during a podcast with Mary Trump.

Griffin was a guest on Mary Trump’s podcast and she let us all in on what Donald Trump smells like. As you’d expect, it’s not good. Here is the transcript, per Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher (video at bottom of article):

MARY TRUMP: What is, because, you know, as you’ve mentioned, you’ve met Donald. What? You were on the show more than once or I know with Liza minnelli. And–

KATHY GRIFFIN: On. Yes, I was on. I was part of challenges for The Celebrity Apprentice twice, one as part of a challenge for my dear departed friend Joan Rivers. And then one was as the civilian apprentice when Liza was the headliner and I was the host of an event. I did spend an afternoon with The Donald and Liza Minnelli. And I need to tell you, I don’t know what Liza was on, but I should have been on that, too! With love! I say that with love!

MARY TRUMP: You know, whatever it takes.

KATHY GRIFFIN: The Donald has a distinct smell that doesn’t really get enough press, it’s like body odor with kind of like a scented makeup products. But you can smell the hair products even outdoors. Don’t make that face! I’m just being honest. I know.

MARY TRUMP: Well, I don’t know. Maybe somebody needs to make a candle that said yeah, because that’ll fly off the shelves right Christmas right now. Okay.

KATHY GRIFFIN: I have to go. I don’t mean to be that A-hole.

MARY TRUMP: No, no, no. I’m going. I can talk to you forever.

And this isn’t the first time that Griffin has revealed the distinct odor that Trump gives off. She described how she had appeared on Celebrity Apprentice, and how she came to get the opportunity to take a sniff of our fat former POTUS.

“Oh, God, I was never contestant,” she wrote in a tweet back in May. “However, I did participate in two challenges. One I did because of my dear departed, beloved Joan Rivers. The other one I did because Trump paid me a bunch of money to spend the day with Liza Minnelli and host a challenge. Liza and I tried to ignore him, but he does smell really bad.”

Grffin’s tweets are protected, so here’s a screenshot:

But Kinzinger’s tweet really got people talking, and the responses were hysterical:
