Trump’s Already Making Excuses for Losing New Hampshire – Which Isn’t Until Next Week

Hmm, he must have a bad feeling about this.

Walking disaster Donald Trump is already whining and making up excuses for his poor performance in New Hampshire in next week’s primary. He clearly thinks that Nikki Haley is going to beat him there.

Now, don’t get me wrong. It’s not like he thinks she can beat him fair and square.

Instead, he’s lying about voting rules and pretending it means Democrats are going to steal the election.  In New Hampshire, if you register as a Republican, you can vote in the Republican primary. Yes, that includes people who have never registered as a Republican before.

But Trump makes it sound like you can go switch parties on the day of the primary just so you can play spoiler in the other team’s nomination process. That’s simply not true.

The final date to register for a party for the primary process was all the way back in October.

Switching parties to affect the outcome of a primary is not uncommon. It’s done in almost every state, some much more than others. It is absolutely not cheating.

Even Fox News knew Trump was lying about this. According to Meidas Touch News:

Fox host Steve Doocy called out Trump this morning for lying about the voting laws in New Hampshire:

“Donald Trump said that New Hampshire law allows for Democrats to vote in the Republican primary. That is not true. You got to be a registered Republican … The last day for a Democrat to change party affiliation was back in October. So that is not accurate.”

Why is Trump lying about this? Because Haley has been surging in the polls and the race is tightening down the stretch. Haley has a legitimate shot to pull the upset in NH or at least have a strong showing before heading to her home state of South Carolina. That worries Trump and he is making his usual preemptive excuses.

Trump also freaked out on Truth Social and said, “Unwatchable RINO Steve Doocy of Fox & Friends, which is suffering mightily from a lack of interest and Ratings Decline, with Steve being the principal factor, has just blurted out that I was wrong on the fact that Democrats can vote in the New Hampshire Republican Primary. He was so anxious to go against me, that he fell into the proverbial “Trump” trap, just like all others do. In actuality, Democrats can vote, they had to register by October 6, but they can come in as Independents, and then can be Democrats, and nobody’s going to know, so already we have 3,542 Democrats changed to Undeclared, 408 to Republican (all of whom will be voting), and others will come in as Liberals or Independents. Their rationale is that they are desperate to stop “Trump,” because they don’t want to run against me, they want to run against Nikki or Ron or anyone else. If an Independent is a Democrat, they can vote. That’s what they want to do, fill up the Roster with Democrats!”

The very last thing that Trump can afford is to be made to look like a loser so early on in a race where her assured his cult that he was so far ahead across the board that he didn’t even need to do the debates leading up to the primaries.
