‘It’s Over’: Melania Trump Said She Was Done and Had ‘No Interest’ in Ever Being First Lady Again

Well, aren’t these words music to the ears. Melania Trump reportedly told her friends she had “no interest” in being First Lady again after Donald Trump’s term in the White House came to an end, according to The Daily Express.

Sadly, and horrifically, it now looks almost certain that Donald Trump will win the Republican Party nomination and take on President Joe Biden in this year’s election in November. Trump has been winning all the Republican primaries, and there’s no one standing in his way to win the nomination.

If Trump wins in November [shudder], it would also mean his wife Melania would be returning as First Lady. However, a CNN report in 2021 claimed that she had told friends she was not interested in returning to the White House.

A person close to Melania during her White House tenure (which means it was probably Melania herself) told CNN: “Being the first lady again is not what she wants. For her, it was a chapter and it’s over.”

Since Trump launched his campaign to be reelected, Melania has been noticeably absent from many events. Melania also left her mother’s funeral in a different car to Trump on January 9, which many people read as the couple not getting along, but most likely it was due to the fact they were each going to separate places.

There has also been speculation surrounding Melania’s relationship with Ivanka, with reports claiming there would be a rift between Trump’s wife and daughter, since Ivanka has suddenly changed her mind and revealed that should her father win the presidency again, she would once again want her place in the West Wing to do whatever little projects she wants to do.

Trump issued a statement last month saying that Melania “wants to make America great again” and “will play a big role” in the future.

Speaking with Fox News, he said: “She was somebody that you could rely on. She’s very smart, a very compassionate person…she wants to make America Great again, too.

“And I would rely on her for advice. I think she’s going to be very active in the sense of being active, at the same time, I don’t want my family to be too active because they did such a great job last time.”

Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of the former president, said that Trump is “protective”, and that this could explain why his family has been less visible during the campaign.

She said: “I think he’s a protective dad and I think he wants his family to stay safe.

“And unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who are targeting him and as a result of that, he feels like, I think, target his family.

“That said, we’re here on the ground. Eric and I have been all over the state of New Hampshire today…we are gonna be involved because we care very much about this election.”

So, perhaps Melania Trump will be the first First Lady to just not give a crap. She’ll stay in Trump Tower or Mar-a-Lago and only return to Washington, DC for the events she feels are important enough and glamorous enough for her. State dinners, foreign travel, but that’s it. Should Trump win, there will be no “Be Best” for Melania this time.

We might see Melania travel a few times, especially if she can don her costumes that she’s such a fan of. Who can forget her cosplaying of Indiana Jones in Egypt?
