Taylor Swift Fans Freaking Out Because Her Boyfriend Travis Kelce Might Be a Trumper

It is the year 2024.

In 1988 – picking a random date because it was when I graduated from high school – the word “like” applied to pizza – because I’d never met anyone who didn’t “like” pizza, and if I did, I wouldn’t trust her. But in the year 2024, there may be no more powerful word or symbol – thumbs up, than “Like.”

If anyone “liked” my articles, our owner would be a billionaire because she could sell that information as to what people “like.” Unfortunately, we don’t have that problem. Maybe we need a “dislike” button?

What does this have to do with anything? Well, why the hell would Travis Kelce, aka “Mr. Taylor Swift,” aka “Badass Tight End for the Kansas City Chiefs,” and aka “woke” football player, yes – why would that guy “like” an Instagram post of Trump at a UFC fight?

** UFC stands for Ultimate Fighting Challenge, and it’s like boxing, only more violent, much, much more violent than boxing. It happens in a caged octagon where two people do what would be considered felony assault anywhere else.**

Donald Trump loves UFC because, well – I’m not sure. It is only by one of God’s miracles that no one has died yet in UFC fights, so – obviously, Trump’s a fan.

But why is Mr. Taylor Swift a fan? Is he trying to break up with her? NFL players are rich, and he’s especially rich, but he’s not “Taylor Swift” rich, so that would be a bad move… if it was about money.

Anyway, according to Newsweek:

While it’s unclear if Kelce “liked” the post at the time — or the social media action was more recent — social media users, many of them Taylor Swift fans, began commenting on Kelce’s “like” on Sunday, April 14. (Kelce and Swift, for their part, were busy snuggling up while dancing at Coachella.)

So? I would snuggle with Taylor Swift in a gas station restroom.

Oh, wait. The issue is Kelce “liking” something with Trump. The thing is, it was Trump WITH Sage Steele, who is an ESPN reporter. So, if Travis Kelce would like to remain “Mr. Taylor Swift” (And who wouldn’t?), he best tell the famous “anti-Trumper” that he likes “Sage.”

After all – that’s a damned powerful word nowadays.
