Trump Says That No One Calls Him Stupid Anymore, Ever Since He Took the Cognitive Exam

In a recent interview with CBN News, former Donald Trump told us something most of us already know: He took that cognitive test because people kept calling him stupid. It was the test that in 2018 launched a million “person,” “woman,” “man,” “camera,” jokes. The former president also keeps claiming this is an IQ test. He’s done this at rallies and seemingly tried to use his performance in the test against Biden. But The Independent notes one thing this test doesn’t do is measure intelligence.

The test is called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. It’s a short 10-minute test that’s used to measure mild cognitive impairment, including early signs of dementia.

This is an example of the test Trump took. It’s not exactly the LSAT.

But of course, Trump thinks he can do no wrong, so he has spun this as his being frustrated at people for calling him stupid.

“And I decided to take one because fake news was having fun no matter what you did,” Trump said during the interview. “And I took one. And you know what is the amazing thing that happened they now call me a dictator and other things but they don’t call you stupid.”

The interview is set to be aired Thursday, but in another excerpt obtained by The Independent, Trump was asked about Biden’s competency when the former President made his remarks.

“I think so much is riding right on somebody who is running for office, before you have the election, I think you have to take a test,” he said.

The test soon led to internet infamy for Trump. He was asked to repeat a set of words — “person,” “woman,” “man,” “camera,” “TV,” and a while later he was asked if he remembered the words in that order.

“‘That’s amazing. How did you do that?’ I do it because I have, like a good memory, because I’m cognitively there,” he said at the time.

It might not be a bad idea to give presidential candidates IQ tests. But while we’re at it, why not test them for empathy and compassion? Why not test their knowledge on science, climate change, and perhaps cultural issues. Trump is clearly deficient in most of these areas and at least we might have found this out before he could do any damage as president. I mean, most of us were already certain of these deficiencies but perhaps it might have convinced those who weren’t sure who to vote for to lean closer to Hillary Clinton.

Just sayin.’

Chris Wallace actually laughed in Trump’s face when he said the test was “very hard”.

Trump also said he knew what the leader of a country is up against and added that every leader was on top of their game.

“Some are nice, some aren’t nice, some are vicious [but] they are all smart,” he said, then said he was “100 percent sure” that the Ukraine war wouldn’t have happened if he was still president.

Well, I suppose we can let a pathetic old man have his dreams. He was in brag mode now that JD Vance has clinched the Republican nomination for the Ohio Senate.

“My record is unparalleled, my endorsements, it’s unparalleled,” he said. “Nobody’s ever had a record like this. I’m almost unblemished.”

Yeah, sure. Whatever. Maybe if you spin something enough times you begin to believe it.
