Trump Just Suggested Starting State TV Because He Hates ‘Unfair’ CNN So Much
Donald Trump is now suggesting that the federal government start its own television network, because he is frustrated with the way CNN has covered his administration.
“While CNN doesn’t do great in the United States based on ratings, outside of the U.S. they have very little competition. Throughout the world, CNN has a powerful voice portraying the United States in an unfair and false way. Something has to be done, including the possibility of the United States starting our own Worldwide Network to show the World the way we really are, GREAT!”, Trump wrote on Twitter.

Trump regularly criticizes coverage of his administration, labeling stories he dislikes as “fake news.” He has in recent months ratcheted up his attacks against the press, calling some news outlets and journalists “enemies of the people.”
Trump has had a contentious relationship with CNN in particular since hitting the campaign trail in 2015.
Twitter quickly reacted:
And finally he says it. State run News. Welcome to a dictatorship.

Get real pal! A propaganda station run by you, dictated by you and hosted by you? Your cult members will love it ???? All the rest, who independently think for themselves, don’t want to hear your BS any longer.

Um, nobody outside of your racist supporters want to watch your Worldwide Propaganda Network where you talk about how great you are and make up lies about your enemies. https://t.co/1JvASWOfvr
