Trump Is Still Lying: ‘We Have Tremendous Control’ of Virus — Dr. Fauci Corrects Him, ‘The Worst Is Ahead’

Stunning.

Schools are shutting down, for what they are calling “Likely the rest of the year” in NYC, all sports are canceled, states are looking at closing bars and restaurants, journalists cannot get information on the number of ventilators, the federal reserve has slashed interest rates to near zero, Dow futures are down another 1,000 points, but Donald Trump says that the virus is something “we have tremendous control of.”

Moments later, Dr. Anthony Fauci corrected the president’s comments, saying, “The worst is, yes, ahead for us.”

Trump had already left the press briefing room.

This is becoming a pattern, Trump comes out and speaks for a couple of minutes saying something he believes to be favorable, and then he ducks out of the room before tough questions get asked. It also leaves much of the country doubting the severity of the disease because for better or worse, much of the country doesn’t believe any news, good or bad, until it comes out of this president’s mouth.

According to Rawstory:

Zeke Emmanuel, a former health policy adviser for the Obama administration, said that he wouldn’t issue a diagnosis, but that “this was really disassociated from the reality that we’re seeing out there. And he does not seem to be listening to the experts that he has.”

Other than to people who would give him money, when has Trump ever listened to anyone? Trump doesn’t “listen,” period! Unless you have a “deal” to run by him.

It was only two weeks ago that Trump went on TV to tell us that he had the virus “contained” and “under control.” Today he is thrilled that interest rates are close to zero (something that will personally save him millions of dollars as a realtor), and that he still believes that we have “tremendous control of” the virus?

Can we please get an adult to monitor this situation!

Last, the LIES must end:

The lies must stop! We do not have “tremendous control” of the situation, we are not doing “specific screening,” and states cannot coordinate with the feds with tests that are non-existant! The average third-grade class could better organize and prepare a response to this crisis than Trump.

Peace, y’all
