Trump Just Sent Fear-Mongering Tweet Claiming an ‘INVASION’ at the Border, ‘Worse Than You Could Imagine!’
With the government shutdown in its 21st day, just one day away from becoming the longest one in history, Donald Trump insisted on Twitter that the “humanitarian crisis” at the border with Mexico is an “invasion,” far worse than imagined by the general public and politicians in Washington.
Trump tweeted, “Humanitarian Crisis at our Southern Border. I just got back and it is a far worse situation than almost anyone would understand, an invasion! I have been there numerous times – The Democrats, Cryin’ Chuck and Nancy don’t know how bad and dangerous it is for our ENTIRE COUNTRY. The Steel Barrier, or Wall, should have been built by previous administrations long ago. They never got it done – I will. Without it, our Country cannot be safe. Criminals, Gangs, Human Traffickers, Drugs & so much other big trouble can easily pour in. It can be stopped cold!”

Earlier this week, Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi persisted in rejecting Trump’s demand for $5.7 billion for building a wall or a barrier with Mexico, which made the president storm out of a meeting where they tried to find a solution that would reopen the government. There are current reports that the White House is preparing legal justifications for a national emergency, where congressional approval for the wall would not be necessary.
Twitter was quick to react:
This is NOT an “invasion”. These are human beings, many of whom are women and children fleeing for their lives. You are simply an inhumane mess of a person.

Narrator: illegal immigration has been declining for more than a decade — Trump admitted as much just two days ago — and border apprehensions are at their lowest rate since the 1970s.
Trump is just trying to set the stage for a national emergency declaration.

You can’t even find the southern border on a map

You created a humanitarian crisis when you began locking children up in cages and separating them from their families.
If this was a real invasion and emergency, then a wall that will take 6 years to build is STUPID!

You’re a sociopath and a pathological liar.

Yemen is an ACTUAL humanitarian crisis. The mass shooting epidemic is a humanitarian crisis. Climate change is a humanitarian crisis. This “invasion” is a fiction, not at all based on data or facts, to fool the feeble minds of Trump supporters.

BULLSHIT. There's no "crisis" other than the one YOU created by treating these refugees like animals. There's no "invasion" other than the one YOU created to distract ur brainwashed base from the REAL "national emergency"…which is that YOU are a corrupt, thieving traitor #Trump

You are sick and need help. You are our humanitarian crisis! #25thAmendmentNow Damn @gop @senatemajldr how much more of this lying bullshit does the American people have to put up with. This is fear mongering at its best.

Just a reminder that Trump had unified, Republican control of both houses of Congress for two years and didn't get the Wall done.
