Internet Collectively Gags After Trump Calls Jared Kushner ‘My Star’ at Law Enforcement Roundtable
Donald Trump referred to Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and senior White House adviser, as “my star” during a Monday White House roundtable with law enforcement, and the internet is rather grossed out.
During the event, Kushner praised law-enforcement officials, several of whom were invited to the event, for embracing reform and “coming together to fix” policing after hearing the “cries from the community.”
He added, “Hopefully at this time where there’s a lot of people in the country who are feeling different pain and feeling different concerns, law enforcement can be a leader in coming together and helping us work towards bringing solutions that could bring this country forward.”
Trump then thanked Kushner and called him “my star.”
Trump has given Kushner and his daughter Ivanka Trump enormous power in his inner circle, and Kushner has helped lead the administration’s efforts on critical issues, like the Middle East peace plan, criminal-justice reform, and the response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kushner’s expansive role in the White House has attracted widespread criticism in part because the former real-estate executive had no experience in government, policy, or foreign relations before helping lead his father-in-law’s 2016 presidential campaign.
While Democrats unveiled sweeping police-reform legislation on Monday, the White House has done little to address national concerns about law-enforcement practices and accountability.

As you’d imagine, Twitter was grossed out, because, well, nepotism is gross as are Trump and Kushner. I know it’s dumb to play this game…but imagine if this was Hillary or Obama, and they gloated about a family member like this:
“My star”….Trump is repulsive. And Kushner can talk fast all he wants. He’s the same guy who feels his father was wrongly imprisoned, (intimidating a witness ++), after he hired a prostitute to seduce his BIL and sent the secret tape to his sister. That whole family 🤬

Uggg, did you hear Trump say , my star. When I look at Jared, it makes me think of a mass of deadly snakes, writhing around. Maybe Trump is the lying prophet and Damien( Kushner) is the Anti christ… It reads like a nightmare. What a family

“My star.” 🤣 For God’s sake. So now Kushner adds “fixing the police” to his responsibilities, which already include pandemic response, brokering Middle East peace, criminal justice reform, “the wall,” etc. etc., all the while possessing zero expertise related to any of those.

At the end @potus says of Kushner “my star” & I threw up a little in my mouth-going forward do we get stuck with the presidential offsprings to hold official roles in govt bc of nepotism? NO! #TrumpCrimeFamilyMustGo

"My star,"
and people still think Trump is on the side of anyone? The real president is Jared Kushner https://t.co/a7PjeSToHX

Trump refers to Kushner as, "my star"….. that's enough to make most people ill. The question remains: Who will Kushner bring in as support? Maybe a return to the WH is in order for Kim K. w/Kayne and Jim Brown. pic.twitter.com/lnk8bSfifK
