Twitter Rolling in Laughter: ‘Who Wore It Better?’ Melania Versus Fidel Castro
In not important news, unless Melania Trump really was trying to send a signal that she’s a militant – and if that is the case, then this is very important news indeed – the internet is abuzz about Melania’s fashion choice for her speech to the RNC Convention.
It is important to remind people that Melania can’t stand it when the media criticizes what she wears. Her feelings might be a bit more relevant were it not for the fact that Melania can’t stand it when the media criticizes her about anything. Like her husband, her attitude seems to be that she should be subject only to over the top praise.
Having said that, we can also rebut her concerns with three points. For one, Melania seems to attach a lot of importance to her clothing choices in part because she makes so few statements of any type. Melania makes few public appearances and even fewer public statements. Thus, there is little to say about her anyway. Second, one of the few public statements she does make, over and over, is that she is rich. She famously wears stiletto heels to plant trees, outfits that cost more than many people’s cars, coats that basically say “F-You,” and helmets that say “I am white and that’s a good thing.” Last, we reject the notion that only women get criticized for what they wear. We vividly recall anger about a gorgeous tan suit in the middle of summer and “mom jeans.”
What Melania wears is fair game. Same with the late Fidel Castro. So, the internet is interested in “Who wore it better?”

Well, Melania probably wins that one, though it’s hardly a fair comparison. She was quite a bit younger in the photo than her opponent – which isn’t necessarily always important.
It is a common military style including WW2 WAC uniforms. Lets focus on other statements rather than the images with the goal of distracting. pic.twitter.com/0b5qj0Lakj

Ouch.
I think it's more of an East German look; much more tailored and nearly identical to this (check out the one on the left) : pic.twitter.com/RkbIDGcrwh

No doubt that the color conjures militancy.
Look more in control they said .That's what happens when you change your style to please Republicans.Stick with what has always worked for you. pic.twitter.com/whqaFRhdkq

She must believe that men love glares. Of course, very few models in Vogue smile.
Everyone love fashion. Right? pic.twitter.com/ishlq5onpV
