Televangelist Pat Robertson wants everyone to know that Vice President Kamala Harris and House Speaker are actually the ones running the country and are, therefore, fulfilling a biblical prophecy.

Even though actual and authentic President Joe Biden sounded pretty chipper during his primetime speech televised to the nation Thursday evening.

But Robertson prefers to cast Biden’s presidency in a negative light, claiming in a recently released clip that Biden is suffering from senile dementia. Robertson is no doctor, but this doesn’t prevent him from presenting this as fact, HillReporter.com notes, even though Robertson and facts are two things that are frequently not acquainted.

Then he jumps right in with: if Biden isn’t well, then who’s running the country?

Now it was time for him to start flinging Bible verses around, which he did to claim Harris and Pelosi are actually running the country. Unsurprisingly, he doesn’t cite any actual evidence for this claim, nor does he mention how Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (who, you know, happens to be a man) fits into this equation.

Robertson read passages from the book of Isaiah from the King James Bible that were centered around corrupt leadership and societal collapse and said he could see the same thing happening here in the U.S. He focused on the Black Lives Matter protests that have occurred in recent years.

“Who has led these riots?” he said. “Well, mostly they’re kids…now who is in charge? There are two women who are in charge. One in charge of the White House is Kamala Harris. The one in charge of Congress is Nancy Pelosi. They are the ones that are running this government right now.”

Of course, QAnon nutters and other conspiracy believers have promulgated claims that Biden is dealing with dementia and that Harris is actually the one in charge, or will soon be in charge when Biden steps down and this isn’t anything particularly new. They started spreading this nonsense which was also recycled by other far-right voices while the election was underway because Heaven forbid Harris might gain political power.

Because apparently according to Robertson and his ilk, we shouldn’t have two strong women in positions of power.

And despite what he says, Biden appears quite lucid and Robertson is famous for making embarrassingly wrong predictions.
