Election 2020

Americans Freaked Out After Trump Says He Expects to Be ‘Reinstated’ as President in August

Former President Donald Trump is apparently as sadly delusional as he was before he left office and reportedly believes he will be “reinstated” as president within the next two months, Raw Story reports.

That’s according to New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, who posted on Twitter:

“Trump has been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August (no that isn’t how that works but simply sharing the information.)”

“He is not putting out statements about the ‘audits’ in states just for the sake of it,” she notes. “He’s been laser focused on them, according to several people who’ve spoken with him.”

And Haberman notes Trump’s fanaticism with re-taking the White House is coinciding with the very real possibility that he may be indicted by the New York Attorney General’s office (we can only hope), as it continues its criminal probe of the Trump Organization for tax fraud.

Do you think that Rudy Giuliani will eventually flip on Trump and testify against him?

Of course, it’s fun to remember Trump attorney Sidney Powell’s hamfisted attempts to “release the Kraken” lawsuits, which completely failed to overturn 2020 election results, even though they also incorrectly claimed Trump would regain the White House by the end of the year.

Really, this whole debacle is hilarious. There’s never been any credible evidence that the 2020 presidential election was stolen in any way and President Joe Biden is now occupying Trump’s former home.

While it really is laughable, it’s a bit worrisome when you consider how he was able to whip his followers into a dangerous riot on Jan. 6. It’s a relief that he’s been booted off social media. Most of us are well away from his delusional nonsense.

As we should be.

Twitter was rightfully freaked out:
