The RNC is Very Upset That Biden Mocked Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and Twitter is in Hysterics

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was last Saturday night and there was finally a president in attendance. Last year we had the pandemic to contend with, and the four years before that, we had Trump to contend with.

This year, Joe Biden’s speech drew some rather misplaced anger from the Republican National Committee.

Now, it is well known that the president makes jokes at the dinner, and Biden was no different. And how could he not make jokes about Trump? Seriously, how could he not?

“This is the first time the president attended this dinner in six years. It’s understandable, we had a horrible plague followed by two years of Covid,” Biden joked in a video posted to Twitter.

“Joe Biden just called President Trump ‘a horrible plague.’ Reminder: Biden ran on uniting the country,” the RNC posted to Twitter.

The clip did not include Biden’s following line, “Just imagine, if my predecessor came to this dinner this year, now that would have been a real coup if that occurred.”

The irony in this is that Trump does nothing but slam and hurl insults at Biden. Just the day after the WHCD, Trump held a rally where he constantly criticized Biden, calling him senile, and all the normal insults on the rally playlist.

Trump held a rally on Sunday, the day AFTER the WHCD and called on Biden to take a cognitive test and ‘release the results for the world to see’.

It seems the RNC forgot about this in their desperate need to tweet out anything they could to slam Biden.

And Twitter noticed:
