Ted Cruz Gets Pummeled on Twitter for Mocking FLOTUS Jill Biden

In speaking about FLOTUS Jill Biden’s comments recently in San Antonio to Hispanic advocacy groups, Jill made a comment that wasn’t even that controversial and certainly not meant to be insulting. As described by the New York Post, here is a recap of what happened:

“The first lady apologizes that her words conveyed anything but pure admiration and love for the Latino community,” tweeted Jill Biden’s spokesperson, Michael LaRosa.

The First Lady made the comments during a speech Monday in front of Hispanic advocacy groups.

“Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community — as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio — is your strength,” Jill Biden said.

Okay, generally, it is not really “nice” to link a community to a food group, though the one that was usually used to put Hispanics down was some variation of “burrito,” whatever. But the above still has us scratching our heads as to how Biden insulted the Hispanic community. Let’s put it this way. It’s a reach. But then again, if one wants to criticize Jill, it’s always going to be a reach.

Or, let’s put it another way, in comparison to pulling kids out of the arms of their parents – some of which have still not been returned to families due to the gross negligence of the Trump administration, it is not even on the same planet. Nor does it compare at all to wearing a $45 coat that reads, “I Don’t Care, Do U?” to visit those children. Melania spends more than $45 on a bath coat. There is no possible way that the coat she wore that day wasn’t special order for the message.

So when Ted Cruz decided to mock Jill Biden, it was MSNBC legal analyst Joyce Vance who came riding in to slap Ted around more than a little bit, using Melania as the club.

Now THAT is how it is done. And Twitter stood up and roared:
