2024 Election

Following Trump’s Nazi Dinner, He Will Now Have a Full-Time Babysitter to Make Sure He Doesn’t Mess Up Again

That dinner between former President Donald Trump and white nationalist Nick Fuentes last week is still causing major reverberations. Enough so, in fact, that some of Trump’s biggest allies were completely shocked, and as a result, the 2024 GOP presidential candidate will be accompanied by a handler 24/7.

That, however, isn’t even the half of it. According to the Associated Press, the campaign has revised protocols for anyone visiting the former president and now plans to vet anyone who comes to see him since the relatively few procedures that were in place allowed rapper Kanye West to bring along three guests, Raw Story reports.

“In an acknowledgment of the severity of the backlash and an effort to prevent a repeat, Trump’s campaign is putting new protocols in place to ensure that those who meet with him are approved and fully vetted, according to people familiar with theplans who requested anonymity to share internal strategy,” the AP reported, noting Trump’s campaign doesn’t trust the 76-year-old former president’s ability to determine who he should or shouldn’t spend time with.

The AP doesn’t clarify what “fully vetted” will mean, but while he was in office, the Trump White House had an embarrassingly awful track record of vetting nominees, even to the point of frustrating GOP Senators.

So perhaps Trump is more senile than previously thought and he needs someone to hold his hand like the temperamental toddler he is.

“The changes will include expediting a system, borrowed from Trump’s White House, in which a senior campaign official will be present with him at all times, according to one of the people,” the AP adds, revealing what appears to be a previously unknown fact,” the AP reported, revealing something we previously didn’t know.

How do you like them apples? Trump even had someone holding his hand at the White House, something that per the AP “appears to be a previously unknown fact.”

And security was also quite lax at Mar-a-Lago while Trump was storing 300 documents that were marked classified, including one set of top secret documents that were marked with the highest level of classification.

The AP has also revealed other stunning news, including the fact that Fuentes, who’s also antisemitic and a Holocaust “denier,” “arrived by car with Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, and was waved into the club by security, even though only Ye had been on the security list, according to one of the people present and others brief on the events.”

And the AP also reported, “Fuentes apparently did not show his ID card and the car’s driver, a frequent guest at the club, got in using a credit card after misplacing her license.”

Extreme right-winger Milo Yiannopolous, who has supported the idea of men having sex with 13-year-old boys, and Trump 2016 aide Karen Giorno, who allegedly took part in a pay-for-pardon scheme. The AP’s report doesn’t mention this, but Yiannopolous has called himself the “architect” of the scheme to ambush Trump.

The controversy has prompted notable republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to speak out, and he contends Trump is highly unlike to ever be elected president again because he had dinner with Fuentes. And during his weekly press conference, the Republican Senator from Kentucky had this to say:

“There is no room in the Republican Party for antisemitism or white supremacy and anyone meeting with people advocatin that point of view, in my judgment, is high unlikely to ever be elected president of the United States,” McConnell told reporters.

I’m glad Trump has had a major setback. He certainly deserves it. But West, Yiannopolous, and Fuentes are all clearly nasty people, and I wish this setback was the result of moral reasoning instead of immoral ideologies.

But that’s just me.
