‘Don’t They Ever Stop Scamming!?’: Americans Grossed Out by Melania Trump’s Newest ‘Pathetic’ Grift

July 4th is just around the corner, and Melania Trump already has, of course, found a way to make money off the holiday.

Earlier Thursday, the former First Lady introduced her latest line of NFT collectibles, which are available exclusively through USA Memorabilia, “the premiere NFT platform featuring United States memorabilia.”

The “1776 Collection” is a limited edition range of six digital NFTs that include images of notable landmarks across the United States that include the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and the Liberty Bell, all set to a “patriotic-themed music track,” Queerty reports.

“The 1776 Collection of artwork draws inspiration from several iconic landmarks of our nation, which I had the privilege of visiting during the time I served as first lady,” she told Fox News Digital. “Each piece provides a view into our nation’s history, culture, and patriotism. I am proud to celebrate our great nation and remain inspired by the words contained within the Declaration of Independence.”

But that “culture and patriotism” came at a great price: costing the lives of millions of indigenous Americans due to diseases that Europeans brought with them. Diseases like smallpox, for which they had no immunity. Europeans also brought advanced weaponry that these indigenous people were unable to keep up with. To really put July 4th in its proper perspective I believe we should remember this. It is the true cost of European history in North America.

You’d think that since Melania is herself a foreigner, she might reflect on this. But she’s only interested in something if it has a dollar sign attached. Thus, we have her latest grift. Each NFT costs $50 and can only be bought with cryptocurrency. Those who purchase all six NFTs get a bonus NFT for free to sweeten the pot.

As she has done with all of her other NFTs, Melania couches everything in vague terms, claiming a “portion of proceeds” from the 1776 Collection will be donated to Fostering the Future, which is part of her mysterious “Be Best initiative” that purportedly offers computer scholarships to children in foster care, even though she has never specified exactly how much of the proceeds will really be donated.

She’s launched other NFT collections such as one called “Melania’s Vision.” This one’s an artist’s rendition of her eyes that features an audio message from her. Others include a set of digital tokens featuring “iconic moments from President Trump’s administration,” and a Women’s History Month line featuring digital watercolor portraits of her face from different angles.

Perhaps Melania is piling up all this money in case hubby, Donald Trump does a stint in the pokey, considering all the legal fun he’s having (even if he is the cause of his own problems). I’m pretty sure Melania won’t mind if he’s doing time. She may even head back to New York where she can be alone in her ivory Trump Tower.
