Melania Doesn’t Believe E. Jean Carroll Was Assaulted by Her Husband — And Her Reasoning is Disgusting

The former First Lady has, by all accounts, been mostly absent from or indifferent to her husband’s various legal troubles. In fact, it has been reported that she even lives in another area of Mar-a-Lago, separate from Donald, with her parents and Barron, Donald and Melania’s teen son.

So it came as a surprise to many observers, her reaction to the outcome of the E. Jean Carroll accusations against her husband of sexual assault. He of course was found liable in the end, which reportedly drove Melania crazy — at the lawyers in the case, for losing.

According to a new report in the New York Times, Melania is “skeptical” of the liability and defamation outcome and even the accusations themselves:

“When Mrs. Trump saw coverage of her husband’s deposition in the case, she was livid at his legal team for failing to do more to raise objections. She has also privately questioned why Ms. Carroll could not recall the precise date of the alleged assault.”

Must be nice, Melania. Trauma can cause one to forget things. Especially things like dates and certain details. Carroll not remembering a date doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I could very well mean Carroll’s brain blocked out some info to protect herself. Ugh, I know we shouldn’t be surprised by anything Melania does, but still, she’s disgusting.

There’s another entanglement in the works as well — Although she has said nothing publicly yet, sources close to the former First Lady say that she has become increasingly amenable to the idea of a second term in the White House — a la Grover Cleveland, with a term in between — for her husband. She has reportedly been watching the activities of Casey DeSantis, wife of presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis from Florida. She has yet to join Donald at any of his campaign rallies, despite his insistence.

But the fact that we’re even discussing a run at the presidency by someone who this time didn’t just make “locker room talk” but has actually been found liable in court for sexual assault and defamation beggars belief. We’re out of the realm of hearsay and rumors and on the other side of a court case that he LOST that should immediately disqualify any potential candidate.

One can see how Mrs. Trump might be mad at the lawyers, after they essentially admitted that Trump had penetrated Carroll “only” with his fingers, and saying that rape “is a term of various meanings.”

Okay, guys. But that’s one of them.
