Ivanka Changes Her Mind: Wants Another Top White House Role for Her and Jared if Her Father Wins

It seems like just yesterday that Ivanka Trump, the debutante daughter of Donald, was distancing herself from her dad’s political forays. Back in November of last year, Ivanka announced she was stepping away from politics to focus more on her family, after having served as a White House advisor to her dad. Her husband Jared had also held much the same role.

The first real sighting of Ivanka and Jared back “in the scene,” as it were, was at Trump’s private screening of the right-wing outrage film Sound of Freedom. They were spotted at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club, where they were joined by such luminaries as Steve Bannon and Kari Lake, as well as the star of the film himself, Jim Caviezel. Caviezel has been noted to publicly espouse QAnon rhetoric and lies.

They were also openly spotted and photographed at the LIV tournament at Bedminster, which shouldn’t be a surprise since everyone knows how much Jared loves those friendly Saudis!

Ivanka had sounded relatively sincere about leaving politics, too. On November 15, she released a statement:

“I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family.

I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.”

But now that Trump’s numbers are creeping up — at least among Republicans — she seems to have had a change of heart, according to the Daily Mail. Gabriel Sherman from Vanity Fair, who is usually extremely accurate in his sources, reports the same. And cynical as it may sound, it’s not hard to understand why Jared would jump right back in the fray; his dealings in the Middle East were left largely unresolved, and he likely figures there’s a lot more money to be made there.

Sources close to Ivanka and Jared insist that nothing has changed — that they still intend to stay out of politics. But the more they’re sighted at campaign events or rubbing shoulders with those who would be kingmakers, the more the media (and the public) will speculate.

What, if anything, will their roles be, either in the campaign or if Trump were to win, in the White House? Will they move right back into the roles they once held?

I hope Trump doesn’t win, and am fairly certain he won’t. But if he does, I wouldn’t mind seeing these two bumble their way through another 4 years, just for the comedic effect.
