Trump and Republicans Are Starting to Get Very Fed Up With Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Dumb Antics

Honestly, I'm irritated with her in general.

Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is notoriously a right-wing extremist.

Even her ploys to get picked by Trump to be his running mate have so far been completely disregarded by not just Trump himself, but almost all other Republicans.

Even the most conservative of Republicans understand that at least a little compromise is necessary in order to keep the nation moving forward. We can’t just stop funding things. We have a system that makes things work, and we’ve been using it a long time.

If you want to change the compromises, you have to change the system.

That’s not what MTG is shooting for, though. She just wants to get rid of any Republican willing to compromise with a Democrat. It has frequently even been in cases where legislation was originated by a Republican, but then a Democrat agreed with it, and she was suddenly against it.

Her goal right now, and for a while now, has been to get rid of the new Republican Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson.

Now, make no mistake: Johnson is an avowed Trumper, set to appear at a Mar-a-Lago event this week that intends to reiterate the contention, disproven any number of times, that the 2020 election was “stolen.”

But Greene is so extreme that she wants Johnson to lose his position just because he made a deal with the very narrow minority Democrats in the House to continue to fund the government.

Making it worse in the eyes of her fellow conservatives is the fact that Johnson has only been Speaker since a protracted fight that ended only before Halloween last year, and which nearly ground the GOP to a halt altogether.

Her attempting to spark up that fight again — one that, before, basically made them look like fools fighting amongst themselves — is terrifying to the Party.

They dare not risk this, this close to an election. Remember House members serve 2-year terms, so it’s not just a presidential election year. Their jobs are on the line, too.

People close to Trump himself are saying that her efforts to get rid of Johnson are unwanted and stupid. Oops, I forgot the quotes there. They actually called her motion to vacate “Unwanted” and “Stupid.”

“We’re not going to get trapped into this cycle of bullsh*t” instigated by certain House members,” one insider said.

Dan Crenshaw, R-TX, went further, saying “Right now, I’m not sure that there’s a real appetite by enough people to just oust Speaker Johnson. I think some people want, you know, a little bit of fame, a little bit of attention. That’s usually the kind of antics we see up here.”

Basically, even the Republicans are sick of Marge. If you live in her district, send her home at the end of this term.
