Thanks to Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former friend and adviser to Melania Trump, much has been revealed about the former First Lady via her tell-all book Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady.

We’ve learned, for instance, that whenever Melania slaps husband Donald Trump’s hands away, it’s not likely because she’s miffed with him. No, it’s her way of creating a diversion for the media so that journos aren’t paying attention to what her husband actually is doing.

But we also know how much the former president fawns over eldest daughter Ivanka, meaning there’s friction between the former First Lady and First Daughter. And recently, Winston Wolkoff showed up on former Trump ally Anthony Scaramucci’s podcast Mooch FM, to discuss the situation between the two women, according to SheKnows.

There’s one thing that Scaramucci and Winston Wolkoff learned quite well — that Donald Trump’s always chooses Ivanka over everyone. Including Melania.

While her book doesn’t pull any punches regarding Melania and in general doesn’t cast her in a favorable light, it also casts a good deal of attention on Ivanka, which was exactly what Winston Wolkoff intended. Melania may not be her friend any longer, but one can feel the author’s frustration at Ivanka’s attempts to undermine her stepmother in the White House.

“One of the reasons I wrote Melania and Me in the way that I wrote it… was to highlight the way that Ivanka would usurp Melania and all the traditions of the White House and didn’t care about any rules and didn’t care about anyone else,” Winston Wolkoff said. “And that to me was just as important, getting that out to the world, to the country, to know who Ivanka was, more than even Melania.”

Winston Wolkoff is quite certain Melania was on board with everything her deceitful husband did as president, she said she’s more worried about Ivanka’s potential political career because she knows how much Donald Trump exalts her.

“She’s Donald in a suit,” she noted. “She is Donald’s one ace in the hole. And if Donald had to choose between anyone, it would be Ivanka.”

Winston Wolkoff wanted to have faith in the Trump administration but what’s left behind is bitter disappointment, and she seems sad that it took her a while to realize these people just weren’t what she hoped they would be.

“Many people have criticized me for taking way too long to realize that Melania wasn’t really my friend,” she said. “I think I held onto the friendship because I wanted to believe that she would come out and say something, anything in my defense…they do not do that.”

Melania has waved off Winston Wolkoff’s book as “salacious claims made by a former contractor who advised my office.” The author is now serving as a key witness against the Trump family in an ongoing investigation regarding the possible misuse of inauguration funds.

Seems like Winston Wolkoff was a little slow to realize what most of us already knew too well: This is a family of very little substance, but no shortage of hubris and a ginormous sense of entitlement.
