GOP Hypocrisy

MAGA Rep. Ronny Jackson and Newsmax Anchor Discuss How Trump Has the ‘Energy of a 16-Year-Old’

In a recent interview, Rep. Ronny Jackson, Donald Trump’s former White House doctor said he thinks Trump, who is now 76, is the picture of health. But if you were to look at recent photos of the former president you sure wouldn’t know that. Especially when you see him out on the golf course as he hangs over a golf club, his belly extending well beyond his belt.

But that’s not the way Jackson sees it, according to Insider. He’s now a Republican member of Congress representing Texas and earlier this week he talked to Newsmax host Greg Kelly, who commented that the former president seemed to have the energy of a “16-year-old.”

“He’s in great health,” Jackson responded. “And people wonder why he’s so healthy because, you know, he famously doesn’t have a really great diet and he doesn’t exercise much other than playing golf and whatnot.”

Trump doesn’t smoke or drink, Jackson added and noted he’s reaping the “rewards of a healthy life.” And he added that he was always “very thorough” whenever he examined Trump.

“He was in great shape. I put him on the treadmill and did a cardiac stress test on him. He knocked it out of the water,” Jackson said. “I mean, he was in the top 10 percent of everyone his age.”

Jackson also said he’d like to find out more from the current White House doctor about President Joe Biden’s state of health. Biden, who might fall off of a bicycle every once in a while. Biden, who has managed to stay trim and lifts weights, does cardio workouts and uses a treadmill.

Remember, if you believe Jackson, Trump is a svelte 239 pounds.

Jackson wouldn’t want that information to spread misinformation, would he? Nah, probably not. Even if he did earn a stern email from former President Barack Obama in 2020 over comments he made that criticized Biden’s cognitive health. Jackson said Obama called him “unprofessional” and defended Biden in the email.

But Obama’s not the only one who thinks Jackson is “unprofessional.”

To prove my point, I’m going to drop in this commentary from NPR, which references a report from the Defense Department’s inspector general.

“The inspector general’s office general says Jackson ‘disparaged, belittled, bullied, and humiliated’ his subordinates and fostered a toxic work environment that undermined the unit. It also says he ‘engaged in inappropriate conduct involving the use of alcohol’ during two presidential trips — one to Manila and another to Bariloche, Argentina, in 2016.”

“The word ‘alcohol’ appears 56 in the 37-page report, which draws on initial complaints and interviews with at least 60 witnesses who previously worked in the White House Medical Unit.’

“Out of 60 former staff members of the White House Medical Unit who had interactions with him and were interviewed, the report states ‘Only four witnesses told us that they did not experience, see, or hear about RDML Jackson yelling, screaming, cursing, or belittling subordinates.”

I don’t know about you, but I think this proves Obama’s point about Jackson acting “unprofessional.”

This “239” pound man was so lazy that he had to use a golf cart at the G8 conference, when the other leaders walked.

Of course, Jackson is up for reelection in November. He couldn’t possibly be trying to curry more favor from Trump, could he? Nah. He’s not that kind of person, is he?
