Lara Trump Says Trump’s Mug Shot is So Important Kids Will Hang it in Their Dorm Rooms

Today in “Members of The Trump Family Who Have Strange Ideas” we have Lara Trump, who for some reason believes mugshot posters of her father-in-law, Donald Trump will be hung up in college dorm rooms.

That’s what she said in a Newsmax interview Wednesday. And, she also noted that the Trump family plans to celebrate Dad’s mugshot as he prepares to turn himself in to face election interference charges in Georgia.

I think most of us would view this as a strange thing to celebrate, but then this is a family that includes a son-in-law (Jared Kushner) who thinks it’s fine to accept $2 billion from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who allegedly murdered a prominent journalist (although bin Salman has been given immunity in the U.S. because that’s how we do things in the good ol’ U.S. of A.). It’s also a family that includes a former first lady who is especially well-known for grifting, including things like her “1776 Collection” and another NFT collection that “celebrated” man’s landing on the moon by using images not authorized for use by NASA.

But what do I know?

So now we have Lara Trump saying ridiculous things to Newsmax, an equally ridiculous right-wing news channel, according to The Independent.

“This mugshot, you wait for it, it’s going to be on posters in people’s dorm room, it’s going to be on T-shirts,” she said.

Then she described it as “the most famous mugshot in the history of the world,” and added it will be “a flag flown by people who love this country because they’re backing Donald Trump.”

Well, I’m not sure about that claim but many folks on Twitter X are already anticipating it.

Trump and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and 17 other cohorts were indicted in Georgia this month for their alleged attempts to scupper the 2020 election results in the state.

The former president faces 13 charges that include accusations of taking part in a conspiracy to replace public officials with fake electors and participating in overt acts to try to alter the results of the vote count. And his bond has been set at $200,000 and comes with specific prohibitions including barring him from intimidating co-defendants, witnesses, or victims.

Lara Trump is partly correct in anticipating the importance of his mugshot since it will be the first one ever taken of a current or former U.S. president. So it is historically significant.

And here it is if you haven’t seen it…funny thing is, even Trump’s mug shot is crooked!

But she also said it was “absurd” that a mugshot would be taken of Trump when he is one of the most famous people in the world, and added: “We know the goal with this is to try and embarrass him in some way, but I think it’s going to backfire on them just like everything else.”

Considering what comes out of Donald Trump’s mouth most of the time, I think he’s pretty much embarrassment-proof, and besides lots of famous people have had mugshots taken. He’s no more special than they are.

Giuliani, Trump’s buddy and former personal lawyer had his mugshot taken on Wednesday, after turning himself in at the Fulton County Jail. He posted a $150,000 bond, which he struggled to pay for, and he had some words for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as he left court.

“Fani Willis will go down in American history, as having conducted one of the worst attacks on the American Constitution,” he growled.

No, Rudy. You’re thinking of the thugs who tried to take over the Capitol building on Jan. 6.

I just thought I’d set him straight there.

Here’s a clip of the Lara Trump/Rudy Giuliani ridiculousity below.
